Guidelines for Submission - You must post a story about an experience you had with the health care system.
- Do not include the name of a company, any personal names or other personal identifiers with the story. For legal reasons, stories including this information will not be posted.
- Be brief. A good length is not more than 250 words.
- Working America will edit stories for length, to maintain the anonymity of the participant, to remove profanity and to remove content deemed irrelevant, potentially libelous or inflammatory.
- Working America reserves the right not to publish a particular submission in any form.
- All entries become the property of Working America and will not be returned. Stories may be used by Working America for any purpose without the permission of the participant or any consideration apart from participation in accordance with these guidelines. Working America may, but is under no obligation to, verify the information set forth in an entry prior to publication. Working America may edit each entry and republish it on the Working America website and in any other form.
Guidelines for Posting and Circulation - Although we ask for your name, e-mail address and ZIP code in order for your story to be eligible for posting, this information will not be made public on the Working America website. Posted stories will display only the name alias and the state (if consistent with ensuring anonymity) you provide, along with the text of your submission, as edited by Working America.
- By submitting a story, you agree that Working America and its members may send your story, as edited by Working America, to legislators, health care businesses and trade associations and others in the health care field and advocacy community as part of Working America's campaign to influence health care policy.
- By submitting a story, you agree also not to disclose to the general public any information concerning the identity of any person or institution that you describe in your submission, unless you do so in the regular course of an administrative, judicial or other legal proceeding, or you are otherwise required to do so by law.
- All Working America members may comment on stories. If you are not already a member, you can become one by commenting on a story.
