Serving the Banks
“In Washington, the view is that the banks are to be regulated, and my view is that Washington and the regulators are there to serve the banks,” he said.
Who said that? Only the incoming chair of the House Financial Services Committee, Rep. Spencer Bachus (R-AL).
He plans to spend his time in charge of that committee serving the banks. How do you think that’s going to work out for the average bank customer?

With this issue, it becomes worst when you hear a merchants situation about their business when they needed the banks to understand them because the banks that got the money aren’t approving small businesses for badly needed loans.

Mr Baratta is 100% right on both of his comments. It’s unfortunate for the common people that our government is serving the people that paid them (banks) through campaign contributions both, legal and illegal, and for the last 30 years letting the wall street companies get away with making outrageous money by passing all regulations with the approval of our government, What else can you expect when our representation goes to the highest bidder instead of the constituents they represent. Maybe not all of hem are guilty of this but even one is to many. Mr Baretta I sympathize with your circumstances but until we get rid of those bought and paid for representatives this country will be in financial ruin. Edward Fino
