Makes Sense to Me

Even before the release of the October jobs report, former Labor Secretary Robert Reich wrote on his blog that urgent additional action is needed to address the employment crisis.

The Administration’s biggest economic mistake so far was to badly underestimate last January how bad the employment situation would become by Fall. As a result, it low-balled the stimulus — settling for a plan that, while avoiding even worse job losses, didn’t go nearly far enough.

In an accompanying video Reich makes the straightforward case for more federal help to create jobs and spur a sustained economic recovery.

Makes sense to me.

If you want to create jobs think1.) “America First” no more outsourcing to avoid product liability lawsuits. 2.) Control the amount of outsourcing. (80/20 rule) if you are a US based multinational firm protected by the US Military than 80 percent of your employees have to be American. 20 percent can be elsewhere to help the growing nations grow without stealing jobs here just for cheap labor. 3.) Pass laws that benefit the majority and not the chosen few aristocrats. If everyone has the same laws then the social fabric is healed and people will start to prosper. Keep the social fabric as torn as it is now and America could fall into a violent war of the classes. Think jobs and think of our responsibility to fellow Americans. Heal the social fabric by bringing back oppportunity to our shores first.
